Everyday care
Villeroy & Boch bathroom ceramics (including ceramic baths) have a smooth, dense and virtually scratch-proof surface that is resistant to all common household acids and alkalis. Clean water and a damp cloth are often all you need for everyday care. Water marks, grease and soap residue can be easily removed using a bathroom cleaner or vinegar-based cleaning product. If you would like to avoid "chemicals" altogether, you can use household vinegar or diluted vinegar essence to quickly remove limescale deposits.
For more stubborn stains, soak a household cloth in vinegar and leave it to work overnight. Mild limescale removers or vinegar-based cleaners are also available from specialist retailers and can be used in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.
Caution is advised for all substances with a high fluoride content, such as those found in rust removers and toothpastes. Prolonged exposure can cause stains, so be sure to remove any residues immediately! For tougher dirt, we recommend liquid or creamy, non-abrasive bathroom cleaners.
For even more effective results, apply these products using a soft, non-scratch sponge.

Always avoid using very harsh cleaning products that can scratch ceramic baths and surfaces, which may compromise or even destroy them over time. These products include, for example, scouring cream/powder, highly concentrated drain cleaner, cleaning products for taps and fittings, steel fixtures as well as powdered toilet cleaners
When it comes to how to clean a ceramic sink or bath, we recommend avoiding these products altogether. In the case of cleaning products for drains, taps and fittings, or steel fixtures, be careful to avoid direct contact with ceramics.
